Cytokine

Cytokine are key signaling molecules of the immune system. They regulate and coordinate the activity of immune cells, enabling the body to respond appropriately to infection and abnormal physiological conditions. They are essential for maintaining immune balance. Excessive or insufficient cytokine production may lead to disorders such as chronic inflammation or immune deficiency.

Inflammatory cytokine panel
(13 Cytokines)

The Inflammatory cytokine panel is a laboratory test that simultaneously measures multiple cytokine in a blood sample in order to evaluate immune status and the degree of inflammation within the body.

This panel helps clinicians gain a broader understanding of the immune system, especially in conditions involving abnormal immune activation or inflammation, such as cytokine storm or severe infection.

The test is performed using Beta-Plex (Multiplex Immunoassay) technology, which allows multiple cytokines to be measured from a single sample, including: IL-1 Beta , IFN-alpha , IFN-gamma , TNF-alpha , MCP-1 (CCL2) , IL-6 , IL-8 (CXCL8) , IL-10 , IL-12p70 , IL-17A , IL-18 , IL-23 , IL-33
